<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost inkjet recording sheet which shows high blank sheet glossiness and successful ink absorbency, and a method for manufacturing the inkjet recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording sheet has an ink acceptance layer containing a pigment and an adhesive as main components, formed on at least one surface of a sheet-like support. In addition, the ink acceptance layer contains a plastic pigment with not less than 51% rate of hollowness and the sheet is calendered after applying the ink acceptance layer so that the density of the ink acceptance layer falls within the range of 0.6 to 1.4 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
