<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a proper image even if it is difficult to decide whether the image is a face or not. <P>SOLUTION: A decision criterion for deciding whether the image is the face or not is previously stored. When receiving image data, an area (a face area) likely to include the face in a picture is extracted by collating them with the decision criterion. At that time, an agreement degree showing a degree to which the face area accords with the decision criterion is acquired. The image data of the face area are corrected according to the agreement degree. In time of the correction, a correction amount can be adjusted according to the agreement degree, or the correction of contents according to the agreement degree can be performed. The image is printed on the basis of the image data wherein the face area is corrected. Accordingly, because the image can be corrected according to the agreement degree even if the image is difficult to decide whether the image is the face of a person or not, the image data can be properly corrected, so that the image can be properly printed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
