Provided is a lubricating oil composition having fuel-saving performance and sufficient durability for gears, bearings, and the like, the lubricating oil composition characterized in containing a poly(meth)acrylate viscosity index improver having a weight-average molecular weight of 5,000 to 200,000 inclusive in a base oil obtained by blending, in terms of the entire amount of base oil, 2 to 40 mass% of (A) a mineral base oil having a kinematic viscosity of 2 to 6 mm2/s at 100°C, a %CA of 0.5% or less, and a tertiary carbon content of 7% or more, and (B) a poly-alpha-olefin and/or a hydrogenation product thereof having a kinematic viscosity of 6 mm2/s to 160 mm2/s inclusive at 100°C. |
