The present invention relates to a battery packaging material wherein damage to an exterior member caused by the packaging of a battery is able to be prevented or minimized to enable recycling of the exterior member; costs required for product manufacturing process is able to be saved; the battery packaging material is able to be applied to packaging materials of various sizes; and a time required to package a battery is able to be saved. The present invention provides a battery packaging material comprising: a battery tray including one or more battery receiving parts having an inner surface formed in a shape corresponding to an outer surface of a battery, having one surface recessed in an opened structure; an exterior member formed in the structure of a box for enveloping the outer surface of two or more battery tray laminates with the battery tray receiving the battery tray laminates inside; and a linear strap for fixation which envelops and fixates part of the outer circumference surface of the battery tray laminate or the exterior member. The strap for fixation has a sawtooth-shaped coupling part formed in a sawtooth structure on at least a part of both facing side edges, and has a first opening to couple into which the sawtooth-shaped coupling part is inserted for coupling, punched on an end part of one side.
