PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boxing device with high processing efficiency, which comprises a supporting part for supporting a box, whose opening is directed laterally, at a loading place of objects to be packed, and moving the box loaded with the objects to be packed from the loading place.SOLUTION: A boxing device charges and loads a plurality of articles A through an opening Op into a cardboard box C which is sent to a loading place of the articles one after another. The boxing device comprises a supporting/moving part 30, an arm 40, and a charging mechanism 50. The supporting/moving part supports the cardboard box at the loading place of the articles A while the opening is directed laterally, and moves the cardboard box filled with the articles from the loading place. When the supporting/moving part moves the cardboard box loaded with the articles, the arm temporarily supports the cardboard box sent to the loading place of the articles while the opening is directed laterally.
