Interruption free deflection device for light beam

The deflection device has at least one lens 2 and a lateral movement mechanism, with a device for offsetting the light beam output from the light conductor. The mechanism is a lever arrangement, such that the input of an optical fibre conductor 1 is secured to the lever mechanism 4-7 which is supported on pivot points 5 within a pillar. The end of the lever mechanism is secured to a controlled actuator that allows the angle to be adjusted. The end of the conductor 1 is coupled to an output unit 90-93. A geometric relationship is established between the tilt angle, the incident angle and the linear dimensions a-d.
