PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp a vehicular running characteristic, in a vehicular charactristic detection device for detecting the vehicular running charactristic. SOLUTION: Wheel speed sensors 12a-12d for outputting a signal responding to a wheel speed and pressure sensors 14a-14d for outputting the signal responding to the air pressure of a tire are provided on a wheel. The frequency of the output signal of the wheel speed sensors 12a-12d is analyzed and the resonance frequency of upper/lower direction and front/rear direction under the car body spring is grasped. The spring constant K under the car body spring is calculated from such resonance frequency. Based on the relation between the air pressure P on the tire and spring constant K, the kind of the tire is specified and the deterioration of the tire and suspension and the softening of the tire are generated. |
