DI(METH)ACRYLATE AND DI(METH)ACRYLATE POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polymer exhibiting excellent ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability and useful for a polymeric solid electrolyte material by polymerizing a di(meth)acrylate of poly(propylene carbonate). SOLUTION: The objective polymer is obtained by polymerizing a di(meth) acrylate expressed by the formula [R1 and R2 are each H or CH3; (n) is 1-1,000] with e.g. irradiation of ultraviolet rays or a radioaction or the like. The di(meth) acrylate of the formula is an ester of poly(1,3-propylene carbonate) and (meth) acrylic acid and can be obtained by e.g. condensing poly(1,3-propylene carbonate) with a (meth)acrylic halide in 0.5-10 equivalent to a hydroxyl group of the poly(1,3-propylene carbonate) in the presence of a base. A polymeric electrolyte using the polymer can be used as an electrochemical element or the like such as a primary cell, a secondary cell, etc.
