<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optimum charge control based on the degree of deterioration of the battery of a battery charging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A battery deterioration degree detection means 1a detects the degree of deterioration of a battery 2. A battery charge amount computing means 1b computes the charge amount to the battery 2. A correction storage means 1c stores the correction for correcting the charge amount, according to the degree of deterioration.
