<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a user-friendly image forming apparatus, which is easily packaged, can resist even vibration during transportation, and meets the demand of universal design. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a control panel 10 whose operation part projects from the front of an apparatus body. The control panel 10 is supported turnably in a predetermined range in a first direction E along a vertical surface, and is supported turnably in a predetermined range in a second direction F along a horizontal surface.
