PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and simple-structured belt-type dehydrator which can greatly improve a dehydration ratio and reduce meandering of a filter cloth due to side slipping by controlling a pressing force of a roller. SOLUTION: The belt-type dehydrator includes fixed rollers 4a-4h, squeezing rollers 5a-5h, and a compression roller 6 installed in a main body frame, an endless filter cloth belt 3a winding the fixed rollers 4a-4c, the squeezing rollers 5a-5d, and the compression roller 6 in the upper stage, an endless filter cloth belt 3b winding fixed rollers 4d-4h and squeezing rollers 5e-5h in the lower stage, air cylinders 7a-7d, 8a-8d making the fixed rollers 4a-4c go up and down, a pump for supplying compressed air to the air cylinders 7a-7d, 8a-8d to expand and contract their piston rods, a rotary driving power source for driving the fixed rollers 4a-4h, and a charging part 1 installed behind the squeezing roller 5d and above the filter cloth belt 3b.
