PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension arm for a vehicle capable of reducing the number of manufacturing steps and manufacturing cost, and preventing a load imposed on a cylindrical member during brush press-fitting or traveling of the vehicle from causing cracks in the welded part of an arm body and the cylindrical member.SOLUTION: The suspension arm 1 for a vehicle includes a plate-like arm body 3 and a cylindrical member 5. The cylindrical member 5 is formed by forming a rectangular plate-like member into a cylindrical bent shape so that edges of both ends of the plate-like member face each other in a proximate state via a gap 11. The arm body 3 is bound by welding the cylindrical member 5 to both ends. Both sides of the plate surfaces of the arm body 3 are continuously welded over a fixed length including the gap 11 in the middle part. The gap 11 is set to a size that makes it possible that paint adheres to both end edges of the cylindrical member 5 when the cylindrical member 5 is painted after being bound to the arm body 3, and a gap is present between both end edges even after the painting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
