PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a driven body at a desired position, and to maintain the quiescent state.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric drive device includes a piezoelectric drive section having a contact part capable of coming into contact with a driven body, and a piezoelectric body, and a drive circuit for driving the piezoelectric drive section. The drive circuit has an allowable output torque range of an allowable maximum output torque Tlim or less, and operates the piezoelectric drive section by setting the output torque Td of the piezoelectric drive section in the range of the allowable maximum output torque. The allowable maximum output torque Tlim is represented by following formula (1); Tlim=r1×μk×Ns×fs ...(1), where, r1 is the distance between the center of rotation of the driven body and the contact position of the contact part, μk is the dynamic friction coefficient of the driven body and contact part, Ns is the pressing force of the contact part for pressing the driven body when operation of the piezoelectric drive section is stopped, and fs is a coefficient of 1 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
