PURPOSE:To easily release the part subjected to a bending in V shape from a lower die after forming it by bending and to automate the bending by bisecting the lower die at least, energizing the one part always to the upper part and energizing the other part in the opposite direction to the shevron- shaped groove of the side face at all times. CONSTITUTION:Shevron-shaped grooves 27, 28 are formed on the respective side face of side dies 20, 21. In order to bend the peripheral edge part of the plate forming a locking part 6 by using an upper die 15 and lower die 16 the punch 17 of the upper die 15 is descended and the center part of the plate is pressed by a stripper 18 as well. With the descent of the plate a center die 19 is pushed down as well, the side dies 20, 21 are spreaded to the side part, the locking part 6 of the plate peripheral edge is fitted into the shevron-shaped grooves 27, 28 of the side dies 20, 21 and a sure bending is executed. With the ascent of the punch 17 and the release of the pressing of the stripper 18 as well the center die 19 and side dies 20, 21 are restored to the original position, so the plate forming the locking part 6 can be drawn out of the lower die.
