PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the vertical routing and storage device for an optical fiber which is equipped with an upright member having a front and a rear vertical surface, front groove assemblies fitted to the front vertical surface in an adjustable state, and rear groove assemblies fitted to the rear vertical surface. SOLUTION: The upright member 30 is coupled with a support frame member and has vertically oriented slots 42 formed on the front vertical surface 32. The respective front groove assemblies 36 have vertical positions, which can be adjusted over a range corresponding to one vertical range of the vertical slots. The optical fiber is run through front grooves and rear grooves and the intervals of the vertical positions of the front groove assembles can be adjusted so as to correspond to the vertical position of the optical fiber from a source adjacently to the front vertical surface. The internal surfaces of the groove assemblies are rounded so that the fiber does not exceed its minimum radius of curvature. |
