<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement in operability and space saving by devising the function of an operating member. SOLUTION: Concerning an electronic camera with which a camera mode for recording image data by performing photographing and a reproducing mode for reproducing recorded images can be set, this camera has an operating member 2 integrally equipped with a first operating part away from a reference position in a first direction, second operating part away from the reference position in a second direction opposite to the first direction, third operating part away from the reference position in a third direction different from the first and second directions, and forth operating part away from the reference position in a fourth direction opposite to the third direction. An image or function is selected in response to the operation of the first and second operating parts, the 'determination' of the selected image or function is performed in response to the operation of the third operating part and the 'determination' is canceled in response to the operation of the fourth operating part.</p> |
