<p>In order to always operate an optimal number of checkout terminals for, e.g., collecting/transmitting transaction information in a store, prevent degradation of customer service, reduce the personnel costs of useless checkout terminal operators, thereby improve the productivity, and operate the store efficiently, a store operation managing apparatus is provided with a customer counting unit (1) for counting the customers in the store and a number-of-checkout-terminals-in-operation determining unit (2) for determining the number of checkout terminals based on the results of the counting by the customer counting unit (1).</p> |
