PREVENTIVE AND/OR THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR OSTEOPOROSIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventive and/or therapeutic agent for osteoporosis capable of stably exerting the preventive and/or therapeutic effect on osteoporosis.

SOLUTION: This preventive and/or therapeutic agent for osteoporosis contains equol in an amount of 0.1 to 100 wt% as an effective ingredient. The dosage of equol is 0.3-1.0 mg/kg-body weight/day. By dosing the agent, the bone density and strength can be not only prevented from deterioration but improved, and also uterine weight is not increased.
