Casting mold for casting the ingots has in the upper part a ring-shaped cavity, which is formed by two parts - housing and jacket, which heat-insulates the lateral surface, and the pan and lower part of the casting mold are intensively cooled. Furthermore, the relationship of the height H to the diameter D makes H/D=0.3...0.5 and the lateral surface of the casting mold is heat-insulated for entire height.
