PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for a circuit board that can prevent damage of both of a projection wall and an outer wall of a housing in a connector insertion/pull-out process.SOLUTION: In an electrical connector 1 for a circuit board, a housing has a bottom wall facing a mounting surface of the circuit board, paired outer walls 15 erecting from opposing edges of the bottom wall, and a projection wall 12 erects from the bottom wall between the paired outer walls 15. A reinforcing metal member 70 includes an outer wall erecting surface reinforcing portion 31 which extends along the erection surface of the outer wall 15 facing the erection surface of the projecting wall 12 and is held by the outer wall 15, a projection wall erection surface reinforcing portion 35 which extends along the erection surface of the projection wall 12 facing the outer wall erection surface reinforcing portion 31 and is held by the projection wall 12, and a connecting bottom portion 38 that extends along the bottom wall 11 and connects the bottom wall side end portions of the outer wall projection surface reinforcing portion 31 and the projection wall erection surface reinforcing portion 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
