PURPOSE:To assemble an air bag device with extreme ease by providing module cover locking protruding parts on the faces, brought into contact with erected pieces, of leg parts, and providing a retainer with recessed parts or openings for inserting the protruding parts. CONSTITUTION:When a module cover 18 is placed to cover a retainer 10, leg piece parts 18a slide with erected pieces 16 while warping elastically outward until finally protruding parts 31 are fitted to openings 32 and hook parts 30 are placed in the state of being locked to the tips of the erected pieces 16. In this state of the protruding parts 31 being engaged with the openings 32 and the hook parts 30 being locked to the tips of the erected pieces 16, the module cover 18 does not come off the retainer 10 even if a folded air bag 12 is going to push up the module cover 18. With the module cover 18 put on also in the folding process of the air bag 12, the module cover 18 does not come off the retainer 10 even without rivets 20 driven therein. |
