PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which the sufficient electrifying amount of a toner is maintained over a long term and excellent image quality is stably obtained. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with a developer carrying roll 3 carrying a developer consisting of a toner and a magnetic carrier on the surface and feeding it to a developing area D, a developer stirring part 8 having a pair of screw augers 7a and 7b carrying the developer in the direction of a rotary shaft and in mutually reverse directions and stirring the developer and a screw auger tank 7c allowing the mutual movement of the developer between two augers extending over the whole area of the augers 7a and 7b in the directions of the rotary shafts, a developer supply part 10 supplying respectively the toner and the magnetic carrier to the tank 7c, a developer discharge part 13 discharging a part of the developer to the outside, a developer layer forming member 6 forming the developer supplied to the roller 3 to be a prescribed-thickness developer layer and peeling magnetic poles N3 and N4 for peeling the developer after being passed through the are D on the roll 3 from the roll 3. |
