The aerial is simple and does not take excessive space within the clock. The slotted aerial (21) is intended to be connected to an asymmetric output (29) of an aerial circuit (25). It comprises a dielectric substrate (23) and a conductor element (22) formed as a printed circuit defining a radiating slot (24) with edges parallel to that of the aerial. The aerial further comprises a central line of printed circuit material (27) situated within the slot (24). This allows a direct connection to the output (29) in such a way that the central line forms the transition between the output and the aerial. The distance between the central line and the aerial is chosen to provide the necessary matching between the output and the aerial.
