<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which enables message display according to a usage state of a user, enhances processing efficiency, and has an excellent operability. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device has a setting means setting a display form of a message 13c. A user sets a display form from a setting screen which enables the setting to be made for each kind of the message 13c, specifically presence/absence of a display of the message 13c, a display time, a color of a display frame, a form of a display, and a display position. In the selection of the presence/absence of the display of the message 13c, when "not display" is selected, further setting is not performed.
