A first swash plate (30) and a second swash plate (40) are arranged on the two sides of a cylinder block (4), and a plurality of cylinders (6) are arranged in the cylinder block (4) on a circumference around the center axis (O40) of the cylinder block (4) and in parallel with the center axis (O40) of the cylinder block (4). A first piston (8) and a second piston (9) are so relatively inserted into the common cylinder (6) that the first piston (8) comes into sliding contact with the first swash plate (30) whereas the second piston (9) comes into sliding contact with the second swash plate (40). A servo mechanism (33) for inclining the firstswash plate (30) and inclination associating mechanisms (40 and 70) for inclining the second swash plate (40) in association with the inclination of the first swash plate (30) are provided to enable the single servo mechanism (33) to control the inclination angles of the two swash plates (30 and 40).
