PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a far side airbag device capable of holding down the influence of a passenger's physical difference on protection performance of a far side airbag for protecting the passenger's head.SOLUTION: A far side airbag device 10 comprises: a side airbag 20 to which gas is supplied and which is inflated and deployed on a central side in the vehicle width direction for a range at least from the chest of a passenger P to the head H thereof while being supported by a seatback 14 of a vehicle seat 12; and a restriction structure 28 which restricts the thickness, in the vehicle width direction, of the side airbag 20 in an inflated and deployed state so that an inflated and deployed part on the central side in the vehicle width direction for the head Hs of a small-sized passenger Ps is thinner than the inflated and deployed part on the central side in the vehicle width direction for the head Hb of a big-sized passenger Pb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
