PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely discharge a liquid accumulated in a nozzle cap.SOLUTION: A nozzle cap 31 includes an inner cap part 41, and two outer cap parts arranged on both sides of the inner cap part in a scan direction. The nozzle cap 31 has a communication part 44 which extends in the scan direction on a part adjacent to an upstream side of the inner cap part 41 in a conveyance direction. The communication part 44 is connected to end parts on an upstream side of the two outer cap parts in the conveyance direction. Suction ports 46, 47 for communicating with a suction pump are formed on an end part on an upstream side of the inner cap part 41 in the conveyance direction and the communication part 44. When the nozzle cap 31 separates from a discharge surface 21a of the ink jet head 3, the nozzle cap inclines with respect to the discharge surface 21a so that a distance from the discharge surface 21a increases from the upstream side to a downstream side of the conveyance direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
