发明名称 METHOD FOR DETECTING ANTI-LAV VIRUS ANTIBODY IN BIOLOGICAL FLUID
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an antibody for LAV virus or a relevant protein in an asymptomatic carrier of virus or a product related to blood by detecting a protein related to LAV virus (retrovirus). SOLUTION: An invariant volume refined LAV retrovirus contains sufficient quantity of single or a plurality of envelope antigen being visualized when the virus is labeled with 35S-cystine at a ratio of 200μ Curie per 1ml of medium containing no unlabeled cystine. The antigen produced from the decomposition product of this virus is a protein having molecular weight of about 110,000 dalton. A protein having molecular weight of about 90,000 is produced from an antigen having molecular weight of 110,000 and it can be separated by immunoprecipitation. These antigens, especially glycoprotein, is recognized selectively on the outside of organism from the serum of a patient infected with AIDS(acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) or LAS(lymphadenosis) or the serum of asymptomatic carrier of virus.
