PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication equipment capable of accurately registering a telephone number to a telephone book by a simple operation. SOLUTION: When this communication equipment has detected (S1) calling signals from a base station, the alarm of calling is sounded, and simultaneously, in the case that a caller number is transmitted from a caller side (S2), the telephone number data are stored in a memory and the telephone number is displayed at a display part (S3). Thereafter, a call is terminated by the off-hook operation of a user and a speech is performed (S4). After speech is ended, the telephone number desired to be registered in the telephone book is selected, and by a prescribed single registration operation (S5), the telephone number data are transferred to the memory for the telephone book and stored (S6). Thereafter, by a prescribed single operation, a registration name corresponding to the telephone number is registered and the telephone number and the registration name are registered in the telephone book memory (S7). Further, by a single telephone book operation, the telephone number is selected and a calling operation is performed (S8).
