METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING PHOSPHOR OF COLOR DISPLAY PDP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously form patterns of an application part and a non- application part in a recess part of a substrate by ejecting a phosphor liquid from a dispenser through a mask vertically and upwardly of the substrate, and relatively moving the substrate and the dispenser. SOLUTION: A recess part consisting of different kinds of substances is fabricated linearly on a substrate 10 consisting of a glass material. A dispenser 20 moves a liquid at a high speed along an opening of a substrate 10 while ejecting the liquid, and fills a phosphor liquid at a part corresponding to the opening. A base fixing the dispenser 20 and setting the substrate 10 may be reciprocated integrally with a mask 40. An ejection quantity from the dispenser 20 is controlled so that about 90% of a volume of the recess part is filled with a phosphor liquid. A distance between an ejection port of the dispenser 20 and the substrate 10 is determined depending upon a state of the spread of the phosphor liquid from the dispenser 20 and a bending state. A constitution of the opening and non-opening of the mask is selected according to an irregularity pattern of the substrate 10.
