<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suitably obtaining high resolution from an image signal of a moving image in particular, with a reduced number of frames. <P>SOLUTION: An image signal processing unit includes: a position estimator (101) for estimating a sampling phase difference, using a reference image data on an input image frame and each corresponding image data on another input image frame; a movement compensation/uprating section (115) for movement compensating the image data on each input frame using the sampling phase difference information, and for increasing the number of pixels by n times; a phase shifter (116) for phase shifting the highly dense image data on each frame as many as a certain amount; a coefficient decision section (109) for deciding a coefficient using the sampling phase difference information; and a folding component eliminator (117) for eliminating (n-1) folding components and outputting, by performing weighted addition by multiplying each image data before and after the phase shift by the coefficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
