1. An image processing apparatus being able to transmit data in accordance with a plurality of transmission protocols, comprising:
a registering unit configured to register folder information in association with user information; a reception unit configured to receive user information; an operation key configured to set, as a transmission destination of data, the folder information which has been registered in association with the user information received by the reception unit; a transmission unit configured to transmit data to a folder indicated based on the folder information set by the operation key; and a control unit configured to control the registering unit to register folder information if a transmission protocol which is available by the user specified based on the user information is selected.
