A method for determining the power values of a signal received by the active antenna in order to determine magnitude and the phase, comprising: using at least one transmitting antenna and a reference antenna, wherein the reference antenna is disposed at a predetermined position and a predetermined spacing relative to the active antenna; using a signal generator to produce a transmission signal, wherein the signal generator is connected to the at least one transmitting antenna and to the reference antenna; and performing the following sequence in any order and in any combination, including performing at least one of the following multiple times: ST1: only transmission of the transmission signal by the at least one transmitting antenna and capture of a first power value of the transmission signal received by the active antenna; ST2: only transmission of the transmission signal by the reference antenna and capture of a second power value of the transmission signal received by the active antenna; ST3: simultaneous transmission of the transmission signal by the at least one transmitting antenna and the reference antenna while generating superimposed transmission signals and capture of a third power value of the superimposed transmission signals received by the active antenna; wherein performing the sequence always comprises performing ST3 at least once.
