<p>A slide cylinder which has a cylinder block (5) constituted by a plurality of parallel cylinders (7a), (7b) communicating with each other, pistons (14a), (14b) and piston rods (12a), (12b) respectively provided on the cylinders (7a), (7b). Both ends of the piston rods (12a), (12b) are respectively integrated with each other by means of plates (32). Driving chambers (15a), (15b) partitioned by each of the pistons (14a), (14b) are respectively communicated with supply/discharge openings (A) (F) (C) and (B) (E) (D) provided at both ends of the piston rods (12a), (12b) and the cylinder block (5). Accordingly, it is possible to selectively use any of these openings, so that piping can be diversified. Further, the slide cylinder in accordance with the present invention permits either the cylinder block (5) or the plates (32) to be used as a movable side by securing the slide cylinder upside down. Since the cylinder block (5) and the piston rods (12a), (12b) do not rotate relative to each other, a load can be moved with high accuracy. In addition, since a position detection sensor can be provided, it is possible to apply the cylinder block to a wide range of uses.</p> |
