VOLTAGE CONTROLLED OSCILLATOR AND ITS FREQUENCY ADJUSTMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the voltage controlled oscillator and its frequency adjustment method advantageous with respect to standpoints of an electric loss, adjustment after assembling and fine-adjustment or the like in the case of adopting a method for trimming a ground conductor being a component of a strip line resonator in the voltage controlled oscillator incorporating the strip line resonator. SOLUTION: A ground conductor 3 being a component of a strip line resonator 2 is provided to a lower face of an element 1 or to a shallow layer close to the lower face. The ground conductor 3 and a line conductor 6 are connected by via-holes 12a-12c. The ground conductor 3 is trimmed to form trimming grooves 15a-15d so that they have the connection parts between the ground conductor 3 and the via-holes 12a-12c in between. Thus, the frequency is adjusted in a direction that the oscillating frequency of the voltage controlled oscillator is decreasing.
