PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring allowing a pitch angle changing part usable as a receptacle seat for the load, excellently dispersing the compression stress acting on the changing part and largely changing the spring characteristics of the coil part on one side with respect to the coil part on the other side. SOLUTION: This coil spring is equipped with a plurality of coil parts 11 and 12 having different spring characteristics by changing the pitch angleαfrom an intermediate position of winding of a wire wound in isolation at a specified pitch angleα. The wire of the pitch angleαchanging part 13 is used as a load receptacle seat by bringing the wire in the changing part 13 into contact with its adjoining wire.
