PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval system which can retrieve efficiently not only electronic data concerning contents of work of a user but also information of existing retrieval objects. SOLUTION: The system accepts input of a plurality of words to a word input screen for retrieval from a user, specifies a retrieval keyword consisting of a combination of words associated by the word input screen among the plurality of words, and performs retrieval processing for retrieval objects or retrieval object data for every retrieval keywords. The system outputs at least either or both of location information of retrieval objects and information storing position in a communication network of retrieval object data responding to the result of retrieval processing for every retrieval keywords as the retrieval results for every relationship of words included in the retrieval keywords.
