PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply circuit in which quick response to the circuit current is ensured, while also ensuring the stability of operation. SOLUTION: The switching power supply circuit has a current mode control circuit 10, including a current detection means 11, and a means 12 for supplying the output signal from the current detection means 11, i.e. a first current information signal S21, to the gate of a first MOS transistor TR1 and generating a current mode signal S22, i.e. the drain current of the first MOS transistor TR1, obtained by connecting a first resistor R1 to the source thereof, and arranged to supply the current mode signal S22 to the feedback control system of the switching power supply circuit.
