A 3-dimensional camera module device, an unmanned monitoring device using the same and an operating method thereof are provided to generate 3-dimensional image data by using one camera, one image sensor, and one light source, thereby solving an economical problem and allowing a user to manipulate it easily, detecting a peculiar characteristic of the 3-dimensional image and alarming of it. A 3-dimensional camera module device which generates 3-dimensional image data including distance(x) information and depth(z) information, includes a light source which illuminates a subject; a camera lens which collects a reflective light from the subject; a 3-dimensional image sensor which detects an image from the camera lens and extracts distance information, depth information, and image data; a controller which calculates based on the distance information and the depth information extracted by the 3-dimenstional image sensor and combines the distance information, the depth information, and the image data, thereby generating 3-dimensional image data and determining the data; and a memory which temporarily stores or calls the 3-dimensional image data generated by the controller.
