PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming device suitable for an inkjet method of a line-type head and can most suitably handle streaky defects caused by a non-discharge nozzle, particularly when a chromatic secondary color ink is used. SOLUTION: When an image is formed on the basis of an input image by an inkjet head, a special color conversion table is prepared beforehand in addition to an ordinary color conversion table. By comparing test pattern data with its image-forming data, non-discharging color and a line position including its non-discharging nozzle are specified. The streaky defects caused by the non-discharging nozzle are most suitably handle, when a plurality of inks are used, particularly when a chromatic secondary color ink is used, by applying the special color data conversion table corresponding to the ink of the non-discharge color to the line position including the non-discharging nozzle.
