PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a solar battery having a gallium-doped substrate and a superior conversion efficiency; and a method for manufacturing such a solar battery.SOLUTION: A solar battery comprises: a P-type silicon substrate having one main surface made a light-receiving face, and the other main surface as a rear face; and a dielectric film on the rear face. The P-type silicon substrate has an N-type conductivity type layer in at least a part of the light-receiving face. The P-type silicon substrate is a silicon substrate doped with gallium, and includes an element of Group III diffused in the rear face of the P-type silicon substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
