The present invention relates to oxidized carbon nanoparticles, a method for preparing the same, an organic/inorganic composite including the same and a method for preparing the organic/inorganic composite. The oxidized carbon nanoparticles are nano-sized oxidized spherical carbon particles, and have a carbon/oxygen (C/O) atomic ratio of 1-9 as determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. When the oxidized carbon nanoparticles are subjected to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the largest oxygen fraction is observed in C-O(OH) bonds. The oxidized carbon nanoparticles have better physical properties than that of the conventional carbon materials, such as graphite or carbon black, are obtained through an economical process, and are eco-friendly. In addition, the oxidized carbon nanoparticles can be applied as fillers for an organic/inorganic composite, and thus can be eco-friendly and cost-efficient, can show high dispersibility and can be used directly without a need for post-treatment such as functionalization. |
