The present invention relates to a transflective liquid crystal display device. According to the present invention, the transflective liquid crystal display device comprises: a liquid crystal layer arranged between first and second substrates, which are separated from each other, and made of a plurality of liquid crystal molecules; and alignment films arranged in an upper portion and a lower portion of the liquid crystal layer, respectively. And the transflective liquid crystal display device comprises: a first phase retardation film arranged in an upper portion of the second substrate; a first polarization plate arranged on the first phase retardation film; a second phase retardation film arranged in a lower portion of the first substrate; and a second polarization plate arranged on the second phase retardation film wherein an optical axis of the first phase retardation film is vertical to an optical axis of the second phase retardation film.
