PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer capable of reducing a stain in the apparatus or on a printed matter due to an ink mist while suppressing enlarging of the apparatus.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 1 includes: a sheet feeding part 2 for feeding a sheet; a conveyance part 3 for conveying the sheet fed by the sheet feeding part 2 while suction-holding the sheet on a conveyance surface with air suction; an ink jet head for jetting an ink on the sheet conveyed with the conveyance part 3; and a control section 6 which sets a sheet interval according to an ink mist occurrence degree during ink jetting by the ink jet head, and controls the sheet feeding part so as to feed the sheet at a timing according to the set sheet interval.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
