Interval training control for sports training device - matches effective loading to difference between actual pulse rate and required pulse rate for each training phase

The training control compares the actual pulse frequency (f0) of the user with a required pulse frequency (f1, f2). The difference obtained is used for load regulation of the training device via an amplifier (5) and an electromagnetic brake (4). The training interval values are provided as factors (k1, k2) for the high loading and recovery phases used to calculate the required pulse frequency from a pulse frequency (t) supplied from a source (10). ADVANTAGE - Allows training to be adapted to each user for preventing excessive exertion.
