PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis device capable of detecting fluorescent label DNA with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: Regarding an electrophoresis device, which includes a plural number of electrophoresis passages 2, 3 containing polyacrylamide where nuleic acid samples labeled by a fluorescent body migrate, a light source emitting laser beam 4 irradiating a plural number of electrophoresis passages, and a light detecting means 10 (6, 7, 8, 9) detecting fluorescence fluorescented from the fluorescence body by laser beam 4 irradiation. The laser beam 4, whose wave length is 530mm or more, is scanned and irradiated on a plural number of electrophoresis passages, while the light detecting means 10 detects fluorescence emitted from nucleic acid samples migrating around the electrophoresis passages or the variation 14 of the fluorescence intensity by each electrophoresis passage. Thus an infinitesimal fluorescent label DNA can be detected. |
