<p>There is described a process for the preparation of a pure and pharmacopoeial amorphous form of cefuroxime axetil which involves dissolving crystalline cefuroxime axetil in acetic acid and recovering amorphous form of cefuroxime axetil from the solution by the addition of water, the water being dumped and in a volume which is at least 25 times the weight of the crystalline cefuroxime axetil.</p> |
