A radar antenna (10) for automobile use with at least one feed network (18) on a first side (20) of a high frequency substrate (22), a metallic surface (sic) (24) on its second side (26) opposite the feed network, having at least one radiation surface (28), which is excited via aperture (30) in the metal mass surface and a dielectric (32) to emit electromagnetic waves, where the radiation surface (28) is fixed to the housing (12). An independent claim is included for a process for preparation of the radar antenna as described above.
