PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently flatten and straighten a large amount of curved barrel material obtained by breaking down sake(wine)-barrels to recycle the material as furniture and building materials. SOLUTION: This piling device 1 for straightening and drying the curved materials comprises a concrete loading body 11 as a loading means, and the curved materials 12 are piled in several stages in such a state that their curved projecting parts are faced downward so that their lower faces are kept into contact with a central reaction rod 7 inserted into a central slit 8 and their end part upper faces are kept into contact with end part loading rods 9 inserted into an end slit 10, whereby the curved materials 12 are curved on a supporting part kept into contact with the central reaction rod 7 to be straightened into the flat shape. The straightening load from the loading body 11 is successively transferred from the curved material 12 of the upper stage to the curved material 12 of the lower stage through the central reaction rod 7 and two end part loading rods 9 to simultaneously load the curved materials 12 of the plurality of stages to be flattened.
