摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnetic wave beam having a high efficiency and a large output without oscillation of the electromagnetic wave of an unnecessary mode on the inside of a resonator by providing an annulus ring spacer or a wall surface having an inner surface inclined to the resonator axis between plural annulus ring mirrors composing the resonator. CONSTITUTION:In a quasi-optical gyrotron, an electron gun 2 emitting an electron beam 1 of a hollow state, magnetic field generating means 3 and 4 generating a magnetic field for taking place a cyclotron motion to the electron beam 1, and a single or plural annulus ring mirrors 10 coaxial to a beam of the electron beam 1 are arranged, a quasi-optical resonator 6 is provided which reflects then resonates in quasi-optical an electromagnetic wave produced in the passing of the electron beam 1 in the magnetic field, and the hollow electromagnetic wave beam is outputted from a radial slot row to one of mirrors composing the resonator 6. And an annulus ring spacer or a wall surface 15 having a tilted inner surface to the axis of the resonator 6 or an uneven state inner surface is provided between plural annulus ring mirrors 8 and 9 composing the resonator 6. This enables the electromagnetic wave of a high efficiency, a large output, and a high frequency to be produced.
